Court can evaluate social media content submitted by husband to prove wife's adultery and oppose interim maintenance: Punjab & Haryana High Court 
The Punjab & Haryana High Court in a recent judgment held that the husband can raise the plea of ​​adultery to oppose interim maintenance proceedings initiated by the wife and evidence obtained from social media can be considered by the court at that stage.

Justice Sumeet Goel said, "The husband has the right to raise the plea of ​​adultery by the wife; in the proceedings relating to the award of interim maintenance and expenses of the proceedings (commonly referred to as litigation expenses); so as to pray for dismissal of such prayer made by the wife."
